"Let all who are weary, come. Let all who are addicted, come. Let all who are brokenhearted, come. Let all who are empty, come."
How many times have your heard a preacher say that from the pulpit and wondered if you should "go"? How many times have you gotten out of your seat to go to the front for prayer for salvation, to receive your healing, or a God-I-need-you-right-now miracle? Did you get the boldness to do so or did shame win?
As I was thinking about alter calls yesterday morning I was inspired by the ones who answered the call to come forward for healing in their bodies or for someone they knew. In sharing my heart about it to my Love someone from the Bible came to my thoughts. We know her as the lady with the issue of blood. She was known as the persistent woman that was not going to let anyone get in her way of the One she knew could heal her. She had this issue running in her body for 12 years. She had done all she knew she could. She spent all she had on doctors who only told her there was nothing else they could do to help. One God ordained moment for her happened when Jesus came through town, on his way to go heal another. The bible says she pushed her way, I think even crawled her way to Jesus. I mean, with an issue of blood like this kind meant she probably didn't have the energy to run her way to Jesus. She was going to do whatever she had to do to get to her Healer, Jesus.
Is this you? Are you reading this wondering to yourself if you should ask for prayer? Have you stayed seated in your seat at church instead of going to the alter (place of safety) because you're too embarrassed about your situation or perhaps don't think you have the will to go? Too many people who have been in the situation have allowed the enemy to lie to them. They have become victim minded to their situation, and in doing so has to live another day, month, and sometimes years in that battle while "waiting" on their healing! I want to encourage you to get up and go! God has placed wonderful pastors and ministers in our lives who will believe with you for your healing. They want to pray with you! And if you have a church family like mine, they want to believe with you, too!
In the end, this special lady you can find in Mark 5 reached her Healer. The instant she touched His hem Jesus knew power had gone out from him. She was healed because of her faith! Her power to believe she could be healed, and her speaking "if only" gave her the determination she needed to get to Jesus!
Get out of your comfort zone. Don't care about who may be looking at you. Start thinking about who is with you! Jesus is waiting for you. Come. Let him heal you. No issue is to great for Jesus! He has already given you the victory in ALL things! Amen?
